SQL Server Database AdministrationCARY NCRemoteJob Description:Minimum 7-9 Yrs. relevant experience on SQL Server Database AdministrationTest and Install SQL Server along with the latest hotfix and patches in dedicated and shared environmentInstallation and up gradation of SQL Server2K5/2K8/2K12 on Clustered and Non-clustered environment for production, development, staging servers.Experience in SISS & SSRS reporting.Experience in data base backup configuration – Comm Vault.Installation of latest SQL Server Service packs and hot fixes.Installation of MSRS 2005/2008/2008R2/2012/2014/2016.Providing support on database-related issues during testing and troubleshooting of existing applications in live environment to resolve performance, security and other back-end issue.Migrate databases between SQL servers. Migrate database from test / development to production environmentMonitor SQL Server down, SQL Server Agent down, Error log, Application and System logs, Job failures, Backup Failures, Database and Log growth, CPU Utilization, Memory Utilization and Disk Utilization using the in-house built SQL Server monitoring tool.Making sure that the daily activities (backups, maintenance, housekeeping activities and other jobs etc.) are running and being handled properly.Setting up security on SQL servers and database level.Backing up and restoring databases with MS SQL Server 2005/2008/2008R2/2012/2014/2016 and Lite Speed 2005.Capacity Management it includes memory, processors I/O devices along with Disk space.Implementing Disaster recovery plans using replication, log shipping, Database Mirroring, AlwaysOn and point in time recovery of databases.Documentation for installation of MS SQL Server2005/2008R2/2012/2014/2016 SPs and hot fixes.Testing latest released service packs in test environment.Re-indexing and Index tuning.
