Position Title : Teradata Database Security Developer

Locations: Sunnyvale, CA

Duration: Long Term Contract


Relevant Experience:

  • 5+ years of developing report using Teradata utilities
  • Advanced SQL skills and understanding of relational databases in Teradata including BTEQ, loading utilities, Data modelling, query tuning
  • Demonstrated ability with other data visualization tools desired
  • Demonstrated ability to develop utilities utilizing Teradata DB objects in shell scripts, perl and python
  • Knowledge of how to extract, clean and manipulate data from multiple systems into reporting objects for analysis
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, including complex projects
  • Linux/Unix programing/scripting experience a plus
  • Architect and design Data warehouse and reporting solutions
  • Play a lead role in the development and deployment of large scale mission critical reporting applications
  • Should translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions meeting Data warehousing standards
  • Conduct Design and code review of peers
  • Provides workaround and recommendations on technical issues in production system
  • Benchmark application performance periodically and fix performance issues
  • Experience analyzing large volumes of data through SQL in either - Teradata
  • Design and develop data transformations to load data into distributed databases
  • Design and develop aggregated structures across various database platforms to support reporting
  • Data modeling experience in building Logical and Physical data model
  • Experience in object oriented programming (Python, Java or equivalent )
