Title:  Systems Engineer

Location: King of Prussia, PA (Local's)

Duration: 6+ Months

Must come from an environment with 500+ servers

Systems Administrator (member of Support/Operations Team)

Responsible for the day-to-day management of antivirus, patching, and tape\disk bakups.   Experience  with administration, support, upgrades, and expansion of physical (Cisco UCS) and virtual server (VMware vSphere) environments, and  Windows Server 2003/2008 a plus

Tasks/Skills

Install, upgrade, configure, manage vCenter 4.1 (or 5.5) instances Build, install, configure templates and virtual servers using vSphere 4.1 (or 5.x) and Windows Server 2003/2008/2012 Upgrade VMware Tools

Manage snapshots

Monitor virtual machine performance and remediate CPU, memory, storage, network bottlenecks

Build, monitor, manage HA/DRS clusters

VMware View 4.1, 5.5, 6.0

Install, upgrade, configure, manage vCenter Server with View Composer, Install and Manage View Connection Servers

Maintain Deskop Images

Setup Desktop Pools, Refresh Desktop Pools

Perform application virtualization using ThinApp

Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues as it relates to View infrastructure components and end-user experience (capacity plan)

Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp

Install, Manage Citrix infrsatructure

Cisco UCS Server Administration

Manage Cicso UCS 5108 B-series chassis and blades, and Cicso UCS C200-series rack-mount servers

Manage, upgrade, configure Cicso UCS host profiles

Manage, configure, troubleshoot UCS networking (fabric IO modules, fabric extenders, fabric interconnects)

Understand networking configuration and operation between Cisco Nexus 7000, Cisco UCS networking components, and Cisco Nexus 1000v virtual distributed switch

Administer environmnet using Cisco UCS Manager

Monitor, troubleshoot, escalate UCS hardware issues to Cisco TAC

Server Antivirus (Symantec Endpoint Protection v11 and v12)

Install SEP client and verify managed nodes

Configure vShield integration of SEP with VMware ESXi hosts

Manage policies, packages, schedules, and exclusions

Create and distribute reports

Windows Server Patching (WSUS)

Implement and manage automated server patching

Backups (BackupExec 2013)

Create and manage backup jobs, selection lists, and media sets

Monitor backup jobs for success/failure

Remediate BE Agent issues

Upgrade Media Servers and BE Agents

Troubleshoot and escalate issues with BackupExec to Symantec

Troubleshoot and escalate issues with HP MSL Tape Libraries to HP

Operate the BE Agents to protect: SQL, Exchange, SharePoint

Monitor backup job performance and adjust jobs to fit bakup window

Operate within a Windows Active Directory 2003/2008 environment
