| Summary | Looking for a candidate with proven BI success to guide technical BI architecture infrastructure/tool design and implementation for ETL, metadata management, data warehousing design; evolve business analytics within Microsoft BI ecosystem (SSIS, SSAS, SQL Server) Design and implement/enhance data warehouse on SQL Server 2014 to support analytical data. Work within established ETL framework. Design and implement data structures accessible for self-service such as cubes |
| Required Skills | · 3-5 years of experience in BI including data warehouse design and implementation within Microsoft BI ecosystem · Solid ETL skills using SSIS and SQL Server. Ability to access and integrate data from multiple data sources such as other cubes, MDS, Excel, SharePoint and cloud-based external files. · Experience in the following: data load performance tuning, implementing data cleansing and aggregation, performing validation to ensure data integrity, integrating error handling, and enabling change management. · Experience building SSAS cubes utilizing MDX, Stored Procedures and established tools and best practices · Experience working with business users to determine analytical needs based on analytical efforts in such tools as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, SSRS to support decision making process · Excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills including the ability to communicate business concepts, data, infrastructure, workflow, and solution context technical specifications. |
| Nice to Have | · Experience working on Agile team · Current on marketplace of BI ETL and Visualization Tools and innovative in their use · Current on Microsoft and other vendors' BI direction: AWS, Azure, data catalog, HDInsight, SQL 2016, PowerBI, Pyramid, QlikView, Tableau · Design skills: logical data navigation and graphic design (user acceptance) · Mobile experience · PowerPivot/DAX and Tabular Models · AS400/DB2 · MDS · Tableau (Desktop/Server) /Alteryx · Experience with SQL 2014 to 2016 upgrade |
