1) Network Engineering - experience in a Data Network Engineering role. They must understand the complexities of a large national network. They must understand routing and be able to configure on their own and load existing configurations to routers.
2) BGP/OSPF Experience - Candidate must have 3 years of experience working with BGP and OSPF Routing Protocols. Must be able to work on their own and load configurations as well as troubleshoot potential issues with the routers.
3) Layer 3 Network Experience - Candidate must have 1-3 years of experience working within layer 3 of the network. They must be familiar with how an enterprise Ethernet circuit communicates with a carrier circuit.
