Our client is currently undergoing a transformation of their corporate web presence in order to create cohesive design and functionality across varying business units. Part of the effort is to review all current sites both internal and external to re-design the same look and feel. The other is to create sites that can easily duplicate functionality and make the deployment of new sites easier and cheaper by re-using common components.
We are currently look to add to our client's UI/UX team to focus on the front end development team. The right person will have experience in leading a UX process throughout project life-cycles, including requirements gathering, prototype development, creation of information architecture, visual and interaction designs.
Skills:
Drupal 8 development/configuration/integration
Expert level front end development skills with HTML5, CSS3, Responsive Web Design
Strong skills in building and supporting Drupal websites and applications
Position notes:
· This position is more UI focused than the one we have had in the past. Drupal is mandatory. It is more important for the person to have a good eye for design and be able to quickly understand "visual identity & patterns" and be able to duplicate the look and feel.
· Thom's team works in an "agile-light" methodology, so somebody who is used to working on short iterations is important
· Thom's team typically work with the business user to understand what design & functionality is needed, develop prototypes using Photoshop or Illustrator, reviewing back with the business team prior to developing wire-frames in HTML etc.
