JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Assist with policy documentation, training, and provide general support for our internal security incidents.
• Key member of our Information Security team and work closely with the IT Infrastructure team and Support team to act as a liaison and go-to person for best practices.
• Leverage an in-depth understanding of cyber security threats, technologies, and countermeasures to design and implement secure computer systems.
• Install, configure and upgrade security software enterprise-wide to prevent cyber-attacks.
• Educate [technical and non-technical] employees on computer security and promote security awareness and security protocols to the business.
• Monitor network for security breaches and inevitably respond to successful attacks with the appropriate countermeasures.
• Perform risk assessments and tests on running data processing activities and security measures.
• Provide a balanced - high level and technical - knowledge of network, server, and client computer security best practices.
• Create and administer monitoring and reporting on security breaches, processes, and procedures.
• Work closely with Systems and Network Administrators, Developers, End User Support, and Managers to ensure seamless secure integration of new applications into the network.
• Work closely with Security vendors including CrowdStrike, Microsoft, AlertLogic and others as needed.
• Develop, maintain, and document IT procedures around security breaches.
• Administer, document, and maintain the organization's security procedures and policies.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying and follow up to incidents or alerts related to security.
• Meet with key members of the business to inform and guide decisions made around IT Security initiatives.
• Ensure that all updates or upgrades are appropriately integrated into existing networks.
• Test new security software releases.
• Ensure security controls are implemented and operating effectively as part of solutions delivery.
• Troubleshoot and support the organizations storage systems.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security or Information Systems is preferred (or applicable industry experience)
• 3+ years overall hands-on experience in Information technology
• Expertise with a variety of the concepts, practices, and procedures related to security practices
• Experience working for an international company with multiple distributed locations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills proven through demonstrated ability to interact well with people and help others
• CrowdStrike or similar heuristic learning application
• AlertLogic or similar appliance
• Office 365 Security
• Multi-factor Authentication
• Knowledge and basic understanding of Cisco ASA Firewall, Networking & VPN Devices including routers, switches, and wireless devices
• Knowledge of Cisco Firepower and AMP Services
• Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to communicate with internal/external entities
