(Job) Web Developer – NYC, NY

This is my direct client opening for a Web Developer – NYC, NY. This is a one year Contract position. The Hourly rate is DOE.

 

Position: Web Developer

We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Web Developer to join our development team. In this capacity, you will write standards-compliant XHTML, CSS, and unobtrusive JavaScript to build world class web applications. You will work with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to create enhanced user experiences through your expertise in front end development.

Applicants MUST include a link to their online portfolio or provide links to previous work. Applicants who do not submit sample urls will not be considered.

Responsibilities:

· Front End development for CMS publishing tools of our leading-brand properties
· Build standards-compliant cross-browser/platform compatible web pages integrating with JSP, JSTL and custom tag libraries.
· Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers and usability engineers to refine the user experience

Required Skills:
Total exp 8 years is must.

HTML, XHTML, CSS, Java Script, good comm. skills – All these skills a MUST with at least 5 years exp with each skill.

Two to three years of experience in JQuery

XSL/JAVA/Vignette skills a HUGE plus

Comfortable working in an agile development cycle environment

Experience integrating front-end code with JSP, JSTL and taglibs
Knowledge and experience with XSLT
Experienced with version control (SVN preferred), content management methodologies
Solid understanding of web/usability/accessibility standards
Excellent troubleshooting skills

Preferred Skills (bonus if you have these):
· Tcl, Vignette experience
· Knowledge of web application lifecycle, MVC and other design patterns
· Experience with unit and functional test cases using Selenium.
· IDEA IDE

·         These skills should be reflected in the URL's  and should have customized code for them and not cut copy paste from somewhere else. Or code generated by Dreamweaver or some automatic tools

·         They should have written their own codes using HTML, XHTML, CSS, Java Script, Jquery,. Also client needs to see Tabular Tables  and own customized Java scripting in the URL's

·         Client straight away goes to URL and looks for customized code on Java Script, CSS, Jquery, DHTML, so key to success is Good URL with customized code i.e. no copy paste of code

Note: If you have experience in all the skills than it should be show in projects as per skill matrix. Because I get feedback from the client, telling me the skill mentioned in the matrix is NOT FOUND in the resume..

 

2 references required. These references should be US citizens and you reported directly or above their immediate management. All the references should have the details like: we will not contact your references before intimate you, but at the time of submission, we required 2 references with email id and contact number.
