Position: Software Engineer

Location: Ceder Rapids, IA

Duration: 6 Months Contract to Hire

Rate: DOE/Hour

 

Responsibilities: Selected candidate will perform software engineering tasks including the Requirements development, Design, Code, Test, Verification and Integration of embedded real-time software for display application products; such as electronic flight displays, data concentrator units, display interface units, and remote data concentrator units for commercial aircraft. Assignments will include developing new functionality, as well as modifying existing functionality. Candidate will perform assignments in conjunction with other software, subsystems, and system engineers as part of a software development team using DO-178B Level A processes and documentation
Currently in the beginning of the life cycle: Software Architecture design. Selected candidates will be defining high level software requirements and linking them to system requirements. PDR (preliminary design review) scheduled for April and CDR (critical design review) scheduled for September/October.

 

Major Skills:

Ø      Experience in real-time embedded software development process including; writing and understanding requirements, designing re-usable software components, coding, testing/debugging, writing test cases and test procedures and running test procedures.

Ø     Knowledge of aircraft systems and development of graphical embedded software functionality highly desirable.

Ø     Working knowledge using ECLIPSE, DOORS, PREP, ClearQuest, SVN highly desirable.

Ø     Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.

Ø     Working knowledge of Matlab Simulink modeling language, the Engenuity VAPS graphic tool, and ANSI.
