Sr. Software Developer

Project: This developer will work on the DBR component for Cappuccino and will take over the DBR code base currently being built in Salt lake City by 2 developers outside of Cappuccino. This will free up these 2 developers to go back to working on Equis admin issues.

Will own the development of DBR, a C# based set of services developed on Windows and built to interface with salesforce.com

 

Essential day to day responsibilities:

• Active participation in project planning sessions with team members to analyse development requirements, provide design options, provide work breakdown and estimates of work.
• Develops and integrates applications as per written specifications.
• Translates technical requirements and design documentation into application code and modules.
• Provides status updates for own scope of work within projects.
• Writes new software or makes modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with written specifications.
• Develops software using disciplined software development processes, adhering to industry standards and software best practice guidelines.
• Carries out unit testing, ensuring application meets needs of client and business.

 

Education:

• Bachelors degree or MS in software engineering or equivalent

 

Required Skills:

• 8+ years in Software development
• C# expert (5 years minimum)

 

• Web Services (SOAP)
• Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2008
• Microsoft Visual Studio 2008
• Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0, 3.0, 3.5
• Web Services
• Microsoft IIS 5.x, 6
• Database Modeling, OOP, XML/XSLT
• Experience with agile/iterative and waterfall development processes
• Knowledge of software engineering methodologies, software development tools.
• Experience of unit testing, code management tools and design tools
• Good inter-team communication
• Basic project management

 

Desired Skills

• Experience building web services that interface to applications built on salesforce.com (force.com platform) or other cloud computing platforms is a huge plus
