Job Description
Designs, develops, and implements software packages for web sites. Troubleshoots, debugs and implements software code. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and 6 - 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field (i.e., SQL, C++, HTML, CGI and JavaScript). Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude required.
Provide baseline support and enhancements for PepsiCo.Com. Baseline support will include daily support of content administrators as well as emergency break/fix.
Enhancements will include project analysis and pursuit as well as analysis and follow up for all phases of project management and implementation for approved enhancements.
In support of the site there are many opportunities for customer, client and even third party communications and interactions.
The Corporate Systems team is looking for a strong and dynamic senior developer to provide outstanding customer and technical baseline support/minor enhancements to the PepsiCo.Com website.
In support of the Global Communications business function, this role will be responsible for providing timely, accurate, scalable and sustainable solutions in the following major areas:
RedDot/OpenText CMS/LiveServer tool administration and support
Daily internal customer support (e.g. how to, technical questions, etc)
Emergency break/fix
Support of scheduled baseline events (e.g. quarterly/annual reports)
Third party vendor coordination and support (e.g. hosting, software, etc)
Initially, the key responsibilities of this role will consist of a knowledge transition period with multiple vendors. Ongoing, this will be a key technical support role that will have input into developing the scope and shape of the support model going forward.
The individual in this role will need to partner closely with technical counterparts internally and externally to gain a complete and accurate understanding of the projects existing technologies and configurations in order to provide the appropriate level of support.
This individual must be confident and comfortable with raising technical and/or process related questions and issues where applicable and to engage in frank and candid technical discussions to quickly eliminate roadblocks and uncertainty.
A combination of programming, analytical skills, clear communications and knowledge of project lifecycle methodology is needed.
Partner with Global Communications customer team and external vendors to provide seamless baseline support and minor enhancements to PepsiCo.com.

Provide analysis, estimates and recommendations for minor enhancements
Coordinate and manage work with external vendors and internal technical support teams
Participate in peer reviews, code reviews, test plan reviews and document test cases and results for third party development initiatives
Provide technical suggestions and alternatives to enhance user experience and/or streamline baseline support processes on the technical or customer side
Technical Skills
Minimum 5 years of application development and support with core competency in supporting a content management system (preferably RedDot/OpenText CMS/LiveServer)
Java and JavaScript
ASP.NET/.Net Framework
MS SQL/Oracle/SQL Server, experience developing database applications
Knowledge of Flash and other graphic tools
Experience with various Windows and Unix platforms (RedHat Linux)
Strong knowledge of Web 2.0 technologies
Digital and Social Media integration is a plus
