Location: Washington, DC

Description:
 

Serves as a leader and peer mentor during the design, development, implementation,  integration, maintenance, and improvement of custom Web Applications and Content Management System software, systems, and related system interfaces.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Serves as a leader for technical efforts related to CLIENTS providing technical and architectural guidance and best practices to peers and customers. Under the strategic direction of WSO Management, this position requires the ability provide highly complex visionary and tactical design for the technical architecture of CLIENTS and to successfully execute against that vision.

Serve as technical representative of department with the larger Organization's Architectural Review Board; ensuring incoming projects adhere to architectural standards. Position will be responsible for providing architectural guidance to other technical staff, including collaborative technical design with integration partners.

In conjunction with WSO Management and product teams, meets with all levels of business management and customers, gaining in-depth knowledge of customer business area, customer requirements, directions and goals and provides insight and professional expertise on how technology based solutions can meet requirements. Provides peer leadership and customer consultation regarding technical best practices, the architectural conception, design and enhancement of CLIENTS technologies (hardware, software and services). Analyzes business requirements and translates into technical design and requirements documents.
Formulates/defines application architectural scope and objective, identifies application interfaces, devises or modifies procedures to solve problems and develops specifications for mission critical web applications.

Provides appropriate documentation and/or consults as necessary during the implementation phase.

May provide escalation-level incident support services during the 24 X 7 maintenance and support CLIENTS to ensure that it operates at maximum efficiency and stability, including off hours "on-call" support for production applications. Upon escalation, assists incident support
