Job Title: Oracle DBA

Location: Foster City, CA

Duration: 6 months

 

Description -
The Sr. DB Engineer/Architect position provides all aspects of Architecture, Design and Implementation for complex Warehousing Database-based solutions employing Oracle complex environment, including Oracle RAC, Oracle Exadata.

 

The responsibilities of this position will include, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following:

• In-depth expertise with Oracle RAC
• Capacity Planning, Sizing and Designing in multi-partition database environment
• Defining consolidation deployment methodologies and cost-effective solutions for Oracle-based implementations
• Backup/Restoration Strategies and Standards
• Advanced Performance tuning
• Advanced Troubleshooting and Problem Determination 

Required skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to articulate concepts
• Superb analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent shell scripting skills
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem determination skills
• Advance Performance and SQL Tuning skills
• Expert knowledge of different Oracle technologies, UNIX/Linux OS and Storage subsystem
