Job Title: Oracle DBA
Location: Foster City, CA
Duration: 6 months
Description -
The Sr. DB Engineer/Architect position provides all aspects of Architecture, Design and Implementation for complex Warehousing Database-based solutions employing Oracle complex environment, including Oracle RAC, Oracle Exadata.
The responsibilities of this position will include, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following:
- In-depth expertise with Oracle RAC
- Capacity Planning, Sizing and Designing in multi-partition database environment
- Defining consolidation deployment methodologies and cost-effective solutions for Oracle-based implementations
- Backup/Restoration Strategies and Standards
- Advanced Performance tuning
- Advanced Troubleshooting and Problem Determination
Required skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to articulate concepts
- Superb analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent shell scripting skills
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem determination skills
- Advance Performance and SQL Tuning skills
- Expert knowledge of different Oracle technologies, UNIX/Linux OS and Storage subsystem
