Client is looking for a PeopleSoft Production Support Consultant – Charlotte, NC. This is a 6 months contract position. The Hourly rate is DOE.
This person will be in a production support role in our Charlotte office to support our East coast users and will handle every day technical application support need to for ServiceView (a peoplesoft CRM application), and will be willing to learn and support Peoplesoft infrastructure
Responsibilities
Provide technical support for Serviceview applications.
Maintains operation, monitoring and integrity of production systems to meet established standards.
Provide ongoing support for Service view Application at agreed service levels.
Interact with system administration, DBA and other teams to troubleshoot application performance issues.
Analyze long running SQL's and will be able to understand the execution plans and will recommend practical improvements.
Build code for new functionality, write functional specification designs, unit test plans and release notes.
Ensure that all production changes are processed according to Change
Management policies and procedures.
Ensure that appropriate levels of Quality Assurance have been met for all new and existing products.
Ensure that products and changes are fully documented, supportable and captured in the Wids+ a Support Management Database.
Interface with internal business and technical partners.
Proactively identify opportunities for change within the production environment.
Interact with Application groups to determine data, performance, and other issues related to the application.
Resolve technical issues in PS modules. "Technical Issues" are issues related to the following technical areas: PeopleSoft Application Servers, Web servers, Process Schedulers, Tuxedo, Crystal Reports, and Application Messaging.
Monitor, Research and Coordinate installation of system patches.
Ability to work long and flexible hours.
Skills/Qualification
Bachelor of Science Degree - or - Bachelor of Arts with certifications displaying aptitude for computer science
3 years Sr. PeopleSoft Developer
7 years Sr. IT professional
Demonstrate experience in effective decision making within a high pressured environment.
Strong research, investigation and evaluation skills
Application Engine ¨ Process Scheduler ¨ Query
Integration Broker ¨ Application Messaging¨ Component Interface
Application Designer ¨ PIA
PeopleCode - both procedural and object based.
UNIX and Windows knowledge required
