Sr. OBIEE Consultant with BI Apps & Hyperion experience (2 position's)

 

Dayton, OH

Long Term (1-1.5 years)

Rate: $60/hr on CTH

 

General Accountabilities 
1. Acts as the primary contact between the vendor engineering teams and Clients, collaborating to prepare estimates, develop schedules, and implement requirements to meet deadlines 
2. Actively builds, maintains, and utilizes an extensive network across the company 
3. Seeks diverse ideas and perspectives from a variety of sources to create better solutions, products, and services 
4. Manages system and user acceptance testing cycles to ensure accurate and quality business solutions 
5. Escalates and prioritizes incidents pertaining to critical systems issues 
6. Escalates broader scale decisions to appropriate managers or points-of-contact.

Technical Accountabilities 
1.  As the authoritative technical resource is responsible for ensuring architecture guidelines are implemented to optimize total cost of ownership 
2. Coordinates multi-system solutions to clarify interdependencies so that such systems appear seamless to customer 
4, Assists with the development of and at all times ensures adherence to enterprise technical and architectural standards and processes 
5. Creates and maintain configuration and design standards 
6. Represents team in technical discussions with other teams or departments 
7. Thinks and acts at the enterprise level when engaging in day to day duties; professionally contends with our onshore and offshore partners to ensure robust, high quality solutions 
8. Ensures RAP (reliability, availability and performance) are considered whenever solutions are being designed and built in our enterprise 

Qualifications 
1. 8+ years experience in all phases of IT system development Life Cycle 
2. Requires a Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science or a related major; or related experience 
3. Experience in implementing Business Intelligence solutions for both data warehouse data enablement needs as well as operational reporting.

4. Technical expertise with the following - Hyperion IR (aka, Oracle IR; BRIO), Oracle BI Publisher and OBIEE.  Understand and experience with Teradata database systems and Oracle CRM Analytics applications (currently on 7.9.5.x)

5. Knowledge of large complex systems such as enterprise data warehousing  with respect to the Business Processes, Technology, Integration points, and Infrastructure 
6. Ability to size/estimate delivery for business concepts and develop  detailed  use cases using Blueprint or related tool  
7. Strong leadership skills 
8. Outstanding communication, conflict management and negotiation skills 
9. Proven ability to work independently and lead teams consisting of both employees and vendor resources in multiple locations and time zones 
10. Proven ability to collaborate and partner with peers in a heavily matriced organization and proficient at communicating with others interpersonally, orally and in writing 
11. Ability to provide both detail information and also summarize to a management level 
12. Tenacity; ability to work through problems and reach a solution 
13. Ability to work successfully in ambiguous situations 
14. Experience teaching, mentoring, and supervising

15. Proven ability to effectively influence peers and leaders 
16. Understanding of Organizational Change Management (OCM) and Quality Assurance processes 
17.Hyperion IR and OBIEE+ Certification Preferred
