Position Open For Business Analyst in Washington DC

Hello There,
I have the following position open. Please let me know .

Business Analyst

Location:  Washington DC
Duration:  9 months
Rate: Open

Responsibilities:

·         Manages demand (i.e., work) requests for a defined area
·         Defines, manages and executes controls, including scope, risks and issues
·         Reconciles supply and demand, assigning and leveling resources over time
·         Establishes a schedule and executes work within the defined duration
·         Manages quality, ensuring execution of agreed upon quality assurance and control mechanisms
·         Utilizes technical and business knowledge to optimize delivery and solve problems
·         Produces ad hoc reports for the Application Owner
·         Elicit and document requirements using a variety of techniques (interviews, business scenarios, surveys, brainstorming sessions, prototypes, etc.).

Analyze feasibility and determine prioritization of requirements within the project scope.

Determine and communicate impacts to systems and projects outside of the project scope.

Analyze current workflow for gaps and additional requirements; document current workflow if applicable.

Act as an effective translator and facilitator between business and technical teams.

Create test strategy, test cases and acceptance criteria.

Facilitate test strategy execution and completion

Utilize reporting tools to perform analysis, problem solving and verification of test results.

Track and report test metrics.

Facilitate that resolution of testing issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering required.
• A few years of business analysis experience.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), including thorough documentation.
• Analytical and problem solving skills required.
• Ability to negotiate and build consensus with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Understands various project management lifecycle methodologies.
• Basic understanding of technical infrastructures, integration of systems and configuration and technical design of applications and interfaces.
• Proficient with MS SQL databases and query tools.
