Description:

 

 

Client is seeking Software Quality Engineers to join their project team. The qualified applicants will become part of Technical Support for Treasury Department Applications/Systems Testing and Source Code and Document Configuration Functions project.

Roles and Responsibilities:

·         Conduct functional and integration testing of multiple programs in a client/server  and IBM mainframe environment

·         Individual will use IRS or Contractor-developed documentation to construct test cases with predetermined results and test data to verify program functionality and/or interfaces through assigned systems.

·         Individual will review output to determine whether or not the test results fulfill the established requirements, and if necessary, notify the responsible programmers, both orally and in writing, of errors, omissions, and inconsistencies in the programs and/or documentation. 

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

 

 

Junior role:

·         6 years of IT experience

·         Bachelors degree

·         2 years of software testing experience

 

 

Mid Level role:

·         9 years of IT experience

·         Bachelors degree

·         3 years of software testing experience

 

 

Senior role:

·         13 years of IT experience; 9 years with Bachelors degree; 7 years with Masters degree; or 4 years with PhD

·         3 years of software testing experience

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

 

·         Experience

-        IBM mainframe

-        Unisys mainframe

-        DB2

-        Informatica

-        Business Objects

-        Rational tools

·         Treasury Department, U.S. Mint or IRS experience is a plus
