Job Title: Transport Engineer
Location:Evansville, IN(Locals only)
Duration:6 + month contract

Job Description:
· Write detailed engineering specifications for the deployment of Sonet and DWDM systems.
· Remotely assist field installation team in the commissioning / test and turn up of deployed system.
· Write detailed Methods of Procedure for the implementation of maintenance activity to add deployed system to the network.
· Provide technical leadership and direction in area of expertise for the engineering staff.
· Enhance operations and maintain reliability of systems.
· Promotes positive change in the company's business strategy through achievement of customer specific objectives and technological innovation of practical and profitable nature.
· Works on problems of diverse scope. Exercise full understanding of practices, policies and processes.

Minimum Requirements:
· 3 to 5 years of direct experience in writing installation specifications for Sonet and/or DWDM systems.
· Desired experience with equipment includes Cisco 15454 MSPP and MSTP, passive DWDM systems, Transmode, and Optelian.

Education & Experience:
· College degree and 2-4 years related experience or 6 + years equivalent related Engineering/Technical experience or a combination of education and related Engineering/Technical experience required.
