Job Description:

Coordinate changes to databases, test and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems.

Responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing security measures to safeguard web applications, databases, and server

configurations. The technical skills include the ability to write and test web sites\applications.

Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree preferred in computer science/engineering or related field, equivalent experience also considered. 8-10 years

experience required.

Responsibility level
Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor. Works with enterprise level business critical

applications where unplanned outages are not an acceptable scenario.

Skills and Competencies
Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to work

independently and manage one's time. Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive

performance feedback. Experience in configuring Microsoft IIS, load balancing, server redundancies and backup solutions. Strong

knowledge of computer software, such as SQL, .NET, Oracle, etc, and of computer hardware and software. Experience

with/knowledge of A/S 400 a plus.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate between developers and analysts to make changes to existing databases and database management systems. Direct

others in coding logical and physical database descriptions. Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate

time and cost required to accomplish project. Review and approve database development and determine project scope and

limitations. Approve, schedule, plan and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer

systems. Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or

unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure. Develop standards and guidelines to guide the use and acquisition of software

and to protect vulnerable information. There is also a large emphasis on overall web site\application configuration including IIS

settings, log file management, migrations, redundancy facilitation and anything else system related.
