Job Description:

Architect-Informatica-Oracle-Data Warehouse

Provides leadership in the design and implementation of software applications; databases; data models; and relational database structures across multiple computing environments under general supervision.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides technical leadership in the design and implementation of software applications; databases; data models and relational database structures across multiple computing environment.
- Makes use of software methodologies and appropriate tools to design and implement relational data structures.
- Makes use of software tools to design software application modules and interaction between modules to process data in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Performs data modeling studies and develops detailed data models. Works with clients and IT management and staff to establish and maintain consistent data element definitions across computing environments.
- Consults with applications development; database administration; business analysts; and client areas in resolving questions during the translation to a physical database structure.
- Participates in the development and maintenance of corporate data architecture; data management standards and conventions; data dictionaries; and data element naming standards and conventions for multiple computing environments.
- Provides data element naming consistent with standards and conventions and ensures that data dictionaries are maintained across multiple computing environments.
- Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost effective data base solution for the systems design.
- Works closely with database administrators and application development team(s) on the design and implementation of the database.
- Serves as technical lead on small to medium projects.

Architect-Informatica-Oracle-Data Warehouse

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 2 ? 4 years of Informatica experience
- 5 - 7 years of Oracle experience
- 5 ? 7 years of Data Warehouse experience
- Previous (5-7 years) experience in data and process analysis and modeling; logical and physical data base design; and/or physical database development; maintenance and management with at least 3 years in SQL programming.
- Previous experience working in a UNIX or Windows environment; as well as operating system specific scripting and execution.
- Experience with ETL; case tools and data modeling tools.
- Excellent presentation; written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated consultative; analytical; and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with clients and other technical staff.
