Job Title: Senior Oracle Database Administrator

Duration: 6 Months

Job Description:

Responsible for ensuring data integrity, security, reliability and performance of corporate

databases. Recommend, plan and implement new database technologies, modifications and

enhancements as necessary, while providing architecture design, guidance and technical

leadership.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent experience.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

Expert knowledge of database management software such as Oracle and SQL Server as well as

the underlying theories of database technology

Thorough knowledge of multiple database technologies

Solid knowledge of multiple infrastructure technology areas

Ability to manage mid to large size infrastructure technology projects

Ability to lead and help guide strategic database technology direction

Ability to mentor and train less experienced technical staff

KIND AND LENGTH OF EXPERIENCE:

Requires 3 to 5 years experience in database administration. This experience should include a

combination of the following: database software installation, configuration and maintenance;

problem resolution; performance monitoring and tuning; capacity planning; logical and physical

database design; database backup and recovery. Also requires experience in architecting

solutions that will help set strategic database technology direction and vision.
