Oracle DBA  - Oracle ASM RAC

 

Job Description:

 

Oracle DBA position is to provide support for Oracle ASM RAC databases migration/upgrade from 10g to 11g on Linux platform with emphasis on DB performance tuning, problem solving and monitoring. The DBA will handle database projects and interface with clients to provide technical solution to their business need.  The Database environment is consists of Oracle 11g ASM RAC/Data Guard on multiple platforms. DBA team support fast-paced and large scale critical trading environments scaling multiple regions. Additional responsibilities for this rule may include managing and documenting projects and executing process improvements.

 

Responsibility includes but not limited to:

 

•         Expert Oracle RAC/ASM and DataGuard skills.

•         Monitor and address database capacity, and performance issues. 

•         Fully analyze performance issues in most critical Oracle databases.

•         Identify tuning opportunities, implement improvements and advise developers on SQL tuning options.

•         Patch and upgrade Oracle databases.

•         Interact with fellow DBAs to disseminate process and configuration improvements.

•         Interact with application developers and management as well as database and database tool vendors.

•         Unix Korn/Perl shell script is required.
