Test Automation Script Developer for the implementation and automation of the HR and Benefits functions of PeopleSoft HRMS for the New York City Automated Personnel System (NYCAPS).  Under the direction of the Test Manager, the Tester will develop and maintain formal test scripts to ensure delivery of quality functionality for PeopleSoft HRMS customizations.  Develop and manage test cases, automated test scripts and plans for system, functional, stress, regression, smoke, integration testing. This person should be able to develop functions in VB script, convert functions written in JAVA to VB script using descriptive programming, understand and add into the existing automation Framework and troubleshoot issues. This person will need to have the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines. SQL knowledge is a must.  DB2 knowledge is a plus.

 

Required Qualifications:

*         4+yrs experience developing scripts using descriptive programming in HP QTP

*         4+yrs experience developing functions using coding in JAVA, VB, VB script

*         4+ Experience in descriptive programming with other Automation Tools like HP QTP, Rational Tools

*         Experience with object-oriented programming language

*         Strong SQL knowledge

*         5+ years experience creating testing deliverables that include Test Strategies, Cases and Scripts

*         Experience testing PeopleSoft 8.x configuration, new functionality, patches, fixes and upgrades is desirable

*         Functional knowledge of HR Benefits and payroll administration processes is desirable

*         Strong analytical and problem solving skills (i.e. analysis, recreation and very detailed oriented)

*         Excellent Communications skills (Oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills

 

Education:

Bachelor's or Masters degree in a technical/business discipline.
