Responsibility will include:
- Analog circuit design up to 3GHz, (Filter design, oscillator design, broadband input matching, transistor amplifier design)
- Familiarity with multiple tuner architectures (double conversion, single conversion direct conversion)
- Understanding of digital modulation schemes such as QSPK, 8PSK, QAM and can analyze system level front end requirements for set top box applications (link budgets, noise figure and linearity analysis, spur analysis, etc.)
- Implement quality cost effective designs.
- Direct printed circuit board layout for proper SNR, signal integrity & EMI and susceptibility performance.
- Verification of board design and implementation.
- Ability to resolve board level integration issues impacting front end performance.
- Cross-functional team member
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Masters preferred).
. 8+ years experience in hardware design.
. Experience with analog design with capability of board level transistor design design a must.
. Experience with simulation tools like Eagleware, ADS, or Microwave Office is strongly desired.
. Experience in the following is an additional asset: RF design, C/C++ skills, Spice simulation, programmable logic design
. Large development project teamwork experience desired
. Good communication skills in English
. Good problem solving skills
