Senior Analyst – Operational Risk Mgt / NYC
Operational Risk Management, RCSA, COSO, SOX, Banking, CISA, CRISC

MS Office 

 

Starts as soon as possible. 
Expected length:  6 - 9 + months, with conversion to FTE potential.
Metro NYC, occasional trip to Suffern NY.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Operations and Lines of Business  to identify and mitigate the associated risks, and enforce the necessary controls
• Execute programs addressing Operational Risk, RCSA, and KRIs
• Work with stakeholders to set and monitor relevant Key Risk Indicators
• Oversee the Operational Risk Assessment process as part of New Product Steering Committee
• Participate in SOX control reviews and interface with internal/external SOX auditors

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree (Masters preferred) in Finance, Business or Risk Management (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of Operational Risk experience in the finance industry
• 5+ years working with core banking products and processes (e.g. ACH, Wire)
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute Operational Risk and RCSA programs
• In depth knowledge of setting and monitoring Key Risk Indicators
• Experience supporting SOX compliance assessments
• Knowledge of Vendor Risk Management a plus
• Process and detail oriented with an ability to think strategically
• Deep knowledge of key regulatory risk requirements and industry standards (e.g. COSO, SOX)
• Ability to articulate risk management concepts to all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated ability to lead large scale, complex projects without direct accountability
• Prior experience interfacing with C-Level executives, Board of Directors, auditors and regulators
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Industry certifications (e.g. CISA, CRISC) or willingness to obtain
