Title: .Net Developer with Oracle DB exp 

Location: Schaumburg, IL

Duration: 6+ Months contract

Start: ASAP 

 

The Job Description is as follows: 

Serve as a metrics automation developer for team that is looking to automate metrics for a Web application. This activity includes developing automated C# or VB.Net programs that extract data from an Oracle database. It also involves creating Oracle SQL / PLSQL code to manipulate loaded data and creating an ASP.NET Web application that provides graphical charts and summary tabless. Good verbal and written communication skills are required.

Summary of Duties
• Prepare automated C# or VB.Net programs that load data from Oracle Datatbase
• Prepare SQL queries and PLSQL stored procedures that calculate metrics based on the documented data primitives
• Create visually compelling Dundas charts and tables using ASP.NET (that make use of the stored procedures from the database)
• Develop and maintain above programs as requirements evolve.
• Debug & maintain the metrics programs.
• Participate in peer reviews and test readiness reviews.
• Perform formal verification testing.
• Perform root cause analysis to diagnose problems.
• Work with other developers to debug issues.

Functional & Technical Skills
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle.
• Experience developing programs in C# or Vb.Net, ASP.NET, JavaScript, XML, HTML.
• Proven experience in Oracle SQL/PLSQL
• Experience working with developers to solve problems.
• Knowledge of Database – Oracle SQL and Oracle PLSQL,

Interpersonal Skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in a team environment.
• Ability to address and resolve issues in an objective, fact-based, professional fashion.
