Rate: $40/hour on CTC MAX.

Job Description:
The Cognos Database Manager will perform the following job responsibilities:
 
Design, develop and maintain Cognos cubes, Framework Developer Models and Cognos Reports.
Work to understand business data and reporting requirements then translating those requirements into an overall data warehouse solution (e.g., ETL process, Warehouse, Data Mart, OLAP).
Strong analytical and communication skills with the enthusiasm to learn the inner workings of a large complex system.
Results-driven individual with the ability to take initiative and to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Hands-on experience in Oracle and Cognos to model and implement numerous subject-specific and cross-cutting cubes.
Expert understanding of data warehousing concepts (e.g., CIF, ETL, MDM, OLAP, MOLAP, ODS, metadata management, data marts, star schema, operational vs. analytical reporting, relational vs. dimensional modeling).
Expert-level skills in logical and physical data modeling for relational and dimensional models.
Create, enhance and maintain Framework Developer models to support business requirements.
Work with business users to design and develop Cognos BI 10.x reports using Report Studio with data drill-down and slice-and-dice options.
Design and develop complicated reports including sub-reports, graphical reports and well-formatted reports according to user requirements.
Design, implement and administer Cognos security within the Cognos product.
Train and support Cognos end users (information consumers and power users
