Designs and supports network and security systems across the global organization

Manages network devices across the enterprise including switches, routers, firewalls, terminal servers and VPN appliances

Maintains and develops  network monitoring tools and processes

Experience with Cisco, Cabletron, Brocade, Solarwinds, MRTG, Exinda, Cascade, Riverbed Steelhead

Network performance tuning

On call 24/7 for network systems

 

Roles & Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation and support for the MEMC global data network. Ensures network stability and integrity for the global WAN, LAN and wireless infrastructure. Builds, administers, monitors and troubleshoots network devices and services.  Administers monitoring tools and processes for network support. Delivers network solutions, system upgrades and system enhancements across the global WAN and LAN.

Tailors communication (i.e. content, style and medium) to diverse audiences

Reads cues from diverse listeners to assess when and how to change planned communication approach to effectively deliver message

Communicates equally effectively with all organizational levels

Understands others' complex or underlying needs, motivations, emotions or concerns and communicates effectively despite the sensitivity of the situation

Analyzes complex situations, breaking each into its constituent parts

Identifies and evaluates alternative causes or ways of interpreting complex information

Identifies connections between situations that are not obviously related

Identifies gaps in information and makes assumptions in order to continue the analysis and/or take action

Go-to person for technology support , IT team, vendors, clients, regional and field management, field and corporate support staff
