UI/UX Designer

Location Costa Mesa CA

 

Design a unique user experience for custom systems developed by a leading information services company. Projects include a redesigned consumer web-based and mobile site and call center interface to deliver credit report and score products, as well as dispute and fraud protection services. The user interface shall be created within the guidelines of the company's style book and standards and create a simple, easy-to-use design. The role requires an understanding of information architecture, interaction design, user experience and an excellent understanding of front-end web technologies. The ideal candidate is committed to continuous improvement and innovation. You must have the ability to communicate your design vision effectively with a cross-functional team, and you must have a desire to proactively guide and shape the product's path. You must know how and when to leverage testing to inform your design decisions. •Work with Product Managers and the business owners to understand business requirements and translate them into visual design •Create interactive design mockups and wireframes. Establish and produce visual assets. •Design clean, efficient, reusable application components, working closely with the development team to gather requirements and implement the designed components within applications. •Oversee your design vision from wireframes to live release. Work closely with development to integrate code with front-end frameworks and implement visual designs. Work with the Product Manager and business owners during QA stages. •Lead cross-functional design reviews for design concepts, from initial wireframes and prototypes through feature completion •Design workflows that work on multiple devices and platforms including mobile •Work in code using HTML, CSS and Javascript to fix defects and adjust interface to match the designs created •Develop and maintain visual design library and UX pattern library for consistent design

 

Skills Required

 

•Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript, UI, UX, and Human Factor skills. •Ideal candidate must be a team player, process driven, self-motivated and able to work independently to meet deadlines. •Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment. •Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software is necessary. •Excellent Oral and Written communication •Solid knowledge of UI best practices •Experience creating wireframes, storyboards and prototypes •Expert level skills in problem solving, creativity and interaction design •Strong prioritization and multitasking skills •Wireframes/Mockups or comps demonstrating design approach •Exceptional written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated ability to present design ideas to senior management and customers.
