Duration: 6 Months+ CTH

Description:

AUTOMATED SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER with TEST ARCHITECT, UFT/QTP, SELENIUM, SOAPUI in a JAVA/VB/VBSCRIPT development environment and "KEYWORD DRIVEN AUTOMATED TESTING"...selenium, zephyr for jira, jira, confluence, agile, html, sgml:

Position Summary:
The Software Test Engineer in Automation designs, codes/scripts, troubleshoots and executes automated test scripts.  Additionally the Engineer analyzes failure points, performs manual testing as needed, and documents issues found during testing.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
•             Collaborate with partners to identify the requirements.
•             Design, script/code, troubleshoot, and execute automated tests.
•             Debug and fix existing automated scripts.
•             Checkout, update, commit scripts/code to repository.
•             Setup and maintain test environments as well as test data.
•             Execute and maintain manual test scripts as needed.
•             Log bugs/issues and generate reports.
•             Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to the QA Team Lead.
•             Leverage knowledge of experience with enterprise server environments, virtualization, relational databases, as well as internet technologies.
•             Successfully complete all assigned tasks while following company's policies and procedures
•             Maintain safety, security and privacy standards throughout all areas of responsibility.
 
Skills and Competencies:
•             Experience and strong understanding of automation tools (preferably with Selenium, SoapUI, HP UFT, JMeter etc.).
•             Ability to design, implement, and execute automated tests and clearly document results.
•             Advanced knowledge of programming language – preferably Java or Visual Basic or VBScript.
•             Ability to learn new tools.
•             Active in pursuing learning opportunities.
•             Excellent collaboration, communication, and time management skills.
•             Thorough knowledge of software development lifecycle and Quality Assurance methodologies.
•             Strong troubleshooting skills combined with the ability to breakdown complex issues.
•             Ability to comprehend business requirements and software specification documents.
 
Qualifications, Education and Certifications (Minimum Requirements):
•             Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related discipline preferred.
•             5+ years' experience in Quality Assurance and Testing.
•             3+ years of experience with automated testing utilizing any programming language - preferably VB,  VBScript, or Java.
 
Preferred Skills:
•             Experience with Keyword Driven automated testing.
•             Java programming experience.
•             Experience with UFT/QTP and/or Test Architect automation tools.
•             Experience with one or more of the following: Selenium, Zephyr for JIRA, JIRA, Confluence, Agile Methodologies, XML, HTML, and SGML skills.
