Java Developer -- NYC,NY -- 3+ Months

Location: NYC

Duration: 3+ Months

Description:

· Designs, develops and maintains services, projects and web applications, using the state-of-the-art technical knowledge, including database, operating system and programming technologies
· Works with Product Management and Program Management to get the specifications of the feature and plan the implementation
· Responsible for specific components, products and feature sets and ensures that all aspects of development, testing and deployment are covered and supported as needed
· Contributes technically in areas of expertise to all development teams, and ensures compliance with proper development standards and methodologies
· Resolves programming issues and product flaws and ensure that the service continues to be secure and reliable.
· Keep up to date on technical advances and changes in technology and teach, either formally or informally others on the team.
· Improves availability and reliability of systems and infrastructure that increases revenue.
· Reduces support cost through proactive monitoring, preventive maintenance, and automation of repetitive tasks.
 
Experience:
· 7+ years of Java, Spring, REST API, HTML, MySQL/Oracle, HTML, JQuery / JavaScript, AJAX, CSS.
· Experience with AWS (S3, CloudSearch, SNS, SQS, RDS, etc.), Node.js, Angular2/4, Aurora, Memcached, oauth, github.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced software release environment.
· Ability to work in a team or individually.
· Develops efficient, goal oriented code that meets business requirements.
· Develops with a focus on scalability / quality.
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) preferred, or equivalent work experience.
