JOB DESCRIPTION:

• This position is for a Infrastructure Architect with Amazon Web Services (ASW) experience
• Lead the creation and implementation of a data driven test automation framework for our Microstrategy based web applications as well as our java based applications.
• Work with the infrastructure and development teams to identify, acquire and setup the appropriate tools and hardware required to effectively automate testing.
• Advise on and facilitate in the implementation of automated testing on a project by project basis.
• Must be able to understand the business and system requirements for a project and plan the appropriate testing.
• Experienced in design/architecture of AWS and hybrid cloud solutions
• Ability to make recommendation on how AWS solutions fit in the company architecture
• Interface with project management, partner test teams, off shore resources and client to plan, execute and report on internal environment
• Interact with clients and act as client's point of contact for testing
• Develop and maintain business and technical understanding of our software as well as functional understanding of client IT ecosystem
• Work with QA Manager to estimate project testing efforts and map workload for planning and forecasting
• Assist other teams as needed within the organization
• Experience building infrastructures with a secure solution for web based applications, multi-site data centers, and protecting/securing data
• Experience with designing, building, and operating solutions using virtualization for private hybrid/public cloud technologies
• Ability to develop/recommend solutions for faster data transfer between on premise and cloud instances or vice versa
• Ability to demonstrate competency with the AWS services: EC2, EBS, S3, RDS, VPC, Route53, ELB, IAM, Cloud Front, Cloud Formation.
• Ability to design/recommend backup and DR solutions for AWS instances
• Support and guide AWS developers and Devops engineers

 

REQUIREMENTS:

• 8+ years of Infrastructure Engineering experience, particularly in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• 1+ years of experience leading test activities.
• Experience automating testing for Java and web based applications.
• Experience testing and proficiency with relational databases (TeraData, Oracle, SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with a wide range of test automation and performance testing tools.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to learn quickly.
• Knowledge of multiple test automation methodologies and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate across organizations, across organizational levels, with off shore resources and within a team.
• Strong understanding of the SDLC and SDM.
• Ability to multitask in highly complex, ever changing, fast paced environment.
• Ability to effectively manage customer expectations.
• Experience with large scale enterprise development efforts.
• Ability to prioritize personal and team workloads to best meet organization objectives.

 

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Some knowledge of mobile applications
• Experience with legacy mainframe and data conversion
• Experience with Test Management software (Quality Center, QAComplete)
• Familiarity with SAML 2.0 and XML
• Project Management experience

 

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
