Job Title: SAN Admin with Linux Redhat experience
Location: Downtown, NYC – Astor Place area
Duration: 6-12 Months
Interview process: phone and face to face
Local to NJ/NY/PA….
SAN Admin with Linux Redhat experience – experience with NetApps would be ideal, but if the candidate doesn't have it – must be willing to learn
What they really need is a Solid SAN/NAS Admin who has previous experience with NetApps, but if no NetApps Experience then Isilon or something similar with demonstrated ability to pick things up quickly. They're basically going to be in a Systems Admin Role which includes, Access, Creating users, adjusting settings, Document issues, with knowledge of LDAP and AD… Candidate will need to be comfortable operating within a Linux/Unix Environment, and be able to write a Shell Script On The Fly every now and then. Python would be a plus, but not necessary.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 5 years related experience with managing file storage systems, such as NetApp ONTAP and lsilon OneFS, including file system and network configuration, running Linux/Unix servers and application systems, and working with identity management tools including Active Directory, LDAP, provisioning services, and with scripting, e.g., Python, shell, PHP
Preferred Experience:
Experience in an academic environment working with researchers and/or research data, experience with large-scale data storage systems and databases (big data)., and experience with managing projects
