Integrations Services Platform Management (Platform Performance SME)
The defined roles and responsibilities of an Informatica Power Center Administrator are not limited to the below.
This is a critical role. Objective is to maintain current high-availability environments at peak performance.
Must have 5-10+ years of expertise working in complex enterprise environment and strong desire for continuous learning and sharing
Responsibilities Includes:
Performance and Capacity Assurance
Tactical Execution and Planning per SDLC
Maximize Benefits from Tools Use-Cases ex. Enabling Proactive Monitoring
Informatica Solutions Architecture
Continuous Capacity Planning and Road Mapping
SME and Evangelist for Tool Use Case, Best Practices and Optimization
Minimum Tasks
Upgrade/Install and configure the Informatica Suite products with high availability
Perform Informatica Power Center 9.x/10.x System Administration and Power Exchange System Administration including Team Based Development administration / TDM/DVO/Analyst/MDM/Proactive Monitoring
Support multiple Informatica environments, production and non-production.
Strong knowledge in UNIX scripting, Java, Web logic with Good understanding of JMS web services
Continuous Learning of latest techniques and best practices for Developer Training
Build Informatica Data Exchange/Data Transformation (DX/DT) and Data Quality environments for various POCs including environments set-up
Setup Access roles and privileges, code page setups, appropriate ETL/MDM migration activities and scheduling tools
Maintain Vendor recommended updates/patch levels.
Partner cross-functionally including Architecture, Sys. Admin, UNIX, Network and DBAs for scheduling on all implementations including patching and upgrades.
Experience in automation of monitoring Informatica environments various methods; UNIX, pmrep, pmcmd, Informatica command line language
Support development teams with performance tuning and troubleshooting issues
Handle day to day Informatica components migration tasks
Setup, Schedule and Monitor Informatica repository backups
Partner with DEV team to Review and Approve Informatica ETL design Artifacts for standards and impacts
On Call Support as required during the week ends and off hours
Analyze the root cause of Informatica job failures and provide/apply solution
End of Life system verification and upgrades. Perform regression testing and approve the overall upgrade or setup
License Management and ability to work with Vendor to support discussion and any feature requests by users
Collaborate with integration team to improve stability, usability of the applications, ex. Standardization of connections etc.
Practice Development Thought Leader works closely on all initiatives for Capacity Assessments, Architecture and EOL management
Gate-keeper for standards
Ensuring suite benefits and utilization are maximized for enterprise ease of use, secure access and productivity
Implementation, Architecture, Administration and enabling beneficial product features ex. Proactive Monitoring
