Role: Certified Salesforce Developer – Lead

Location: Ann Arbor, MI

Duration: 6+ Months

Summary:

The Lead Developer - Salesforce is responsible for building, configuring, and maintaining/enhancing Salesforce applications throughout the development life cycle. This role will be responsible for leading the design, development, implementation, and support of solutions that provide timely, relevant information and functionality. The Salesforce Developer will work on a large scale implementation project that will cover use cases across several different departments. The developer is accountable for the adherence to corporate software development methodologies. 

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

(80%) Development

  • Perform as the subject matter expert of Salesforce/Force.com and the various built-in tools
  • Previous knowledge/experience migrating applications from Classic to Lightning
  • Serve as a technical advisor to other Salesforce developer/BA resources and provide technical guidance to leadership to assist with the formulating of long range Salesforce application development plans
  • Design, build, and deploy custom Salesforce applications based on customer requirements, data requirements, analysis of data sources, and functional design
  • Analyze, design and implement large, highly-complex Salesforce systems
  • Lead and ensure ongoing maintenance and support for applications and systems
  • Lead technical evaluations
  • Develop and execute unit test plans to ensure application development
  • Provides leadership in the ongoing establishment and use of Salesforce programming standards and methodologies, with intent to improve overall efficiency of group and client satisfaction
  • Creates and utilizes best practices for Salesforce development
  • Develops test protocols (classes), reviews test results, and remedies as needed
  • Interface with vendors to resolve major software issues
  • Performs highly complex and unusual problem solving
  • Specializes in the build of Customer Communities
  • Accountable for the successful delivery of Salesforce projects as assigned
  • Participation in architecting the logical design of the system with the technical team, including screen design and specifications, data modeling, and documentation of logical processing flows
  • Works closely with the technical delivery managers for overall coordination of project activities

 (20%)   Day to Day Production Support

  • Perform as an active member of the Salesforce day to day production support team
  • Monitor, pickup, and work incidents as they occur
  • Remove blockages and assist team in problem resolution especially

 Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum 5+ years of Apex (or Java) and web technologies experience
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience as a Salesforce developer
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience as a coder
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working as part of the CRM administration team to enhance existing functionality, deliver new features, and improve user experience and efficiencies
  • Performing as a lead developer in at least 1 large Salesforce implementation from scratch 
  • Experience on the Lightning platform
  • Multiple Salesforce.com certifications (Admin, Developer, Sales/Service Cloud) preferred
  • Demonstrated thorough understanding of basic infrastructure, information security, and system integration concepts
