NOTE - ALL vendor candidates are required to do a VIDEO screen before submission to client. Under no circumstances will a vendor candidate be submitted to client without having completed a video screen with us (Montage, Hangouts, Skype, etc.).

Role:

The Level 3 Application Support team member will be part of a group that is responsible for the maintenance and support of firm applications.

This function has broad knowledge of the business functions to resolve critical and strategic business technology challenges.

The team member is responsible for adherence to Service Level Agreements for Level 3 application support services as defined by US IT Operations. 

This individual performs advanced troubleshooting at the application level, and must be able to adapt to new technologies.

Using his/her domain knowledge and relevant expertise, he/she will identify the area of fault (code, environment, or configuration) and guide the appropriate team in constructing and implementing the fix.

The specialist is individually responsible for delivering technical diagnosis and solution prescription within his/her specific technology expertise and assigned applications.

Responsibilities:


Manage IIS, including load balanced applications, certificate monitoring, and deploying new sites & applications manually & via automated scripts and applications.

Ensure SQL Servers are performing optimally. Run CPU utilization and query analyzer and performance metrics. Compare against performance metric standards.

Manage table access and security

Monitor data and Log table sizes; purge if necessary or develop a purge schedule

Develop and implement archiving strategy.

Performance tuning and monitor SQL Server TMP tables, compaction policies etc..

Maintain data partitions and data integrity.

Ensure adherence to standards. Safeguard our production and staging environment by reviewing and ensuring that all deployments to production/staging are thoroughly reviewed and have passed QA process.

Manage Information technology Budget and Upgrades

Ensure Optimal functioning of Servers

Monitor Lab Environments

Monitor Capacity and Services

Informatica and SQL Server Backups

Install patches

Make sure servers conform to SOP standards (Standard Operating Procedures)

Manage users, groups and permissions

Develop and monitor Disaster Recovery planning and drill

Monitor Hardware status and functioning

Mandatory skills:


At least 5 years of extensive knowledge and experience in development and/or application based troubleshooting.

Demonstrated development or technical application support skill sets with detailed technical experience with industry standard platforms, including IIS/.NET, SQL, and other web based technologies.

Developing applications using C#

Coding WPF Applications and Enhancements – MVVM

Overall Applications Development(.NET)

Version Control and Tracking Customer Issues utilizing TFS

Bug fixes and support (TSQL, Angular JS, and C#)

Internal Applications Engineering Support Level-3

Extensive technical understanding that spans multiple platforms and application level expertise of a portfolio of applications with broad knowledge of the business strategic priorities, in order to resolve complex problems.

Proven technical capabilities, analytical skills and application knowledge.

Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex application problems and leverage tools and resources appropriately to identify solutions that may or may not be already documented.

Ability to manage multiple conflicting deadlines and competing priorities.

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships within the team and throughout the firm.

Desirable skills

Azure Cloud experience regarding any of the above topics is a major plus

Experience with Agile Software Development methodologies.
