Job Title: C++/11 Programmer

POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

We are seeking a strong C++/11 programmer to assist us in maintenance of two legacy Compliance applications.  This person will be responsible for learning these two systems and making minor changes, as well as transitioning one system from Solaris to Linux.  There will also be small amounts of troubleshooting and production support.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Learn and document the complex compilation and deployment procedures for these applications

Quickly become familiar with the data flows of these systems to be able to make changes

Complete the process of converting ACE from Solaris to Linux (this project was in-flight already)

Coordinate with other team members to ensure smooth flow during development.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

 

At least 5 years experience with C++.   Most of our codebase is C++/08 or C++/11, so modern features not required.

In-depth knowledge of posix threading.

In-depth knowledge of Linux (gcc, bash, python) required, Solaris strongly preferred.

SVN and JIRA experience strongly preferred.

Experience with SQL preferred.

Bachelor's degree for a reputable university.
