*Job Expertise*

· The Smart Meter SME is responsible for monitoring the meter
communication network and understanding and identifying failures impacting
meter reads and other meter interrogation issues that need to be
investigated. This position would be responsible for independently querying
data from the Headend System as well as the Meter Data Management (MDM)
system to identify and mitigate issues though field investigations or other
escalation paths to the appropriate groups when necessary.

· This position will ensure close communications with the IT AMI
Metering Network Team, the Meter Data Analytics group and Field Metering
from a mitigation perspective. Interaction with other line of business may
also be required when analyzing data for specific customer related issues.

*Job Responsibilities:*

· Independently analyze and troubleshoot medium to complex
communication issues within C&I and Residential metering.

· Ensure the meter mesh communication to AMI meters through the
OpenWay/ SilverSping collection engine headend systems is functioning at
an acceptable performance level. Responsible for correcting communication
issues or issuing investigation orders for other groups to resolve in the
field.
