Looking for a highly motivated individual to join the IT team as a Sr System Administrator - UNIX with expertise in Unix System administration on a variety of UNIX flavors.
Emphasis is on Linux and Solaris. All other flavors of UNIX are nice-to-have but not required.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Installation, Management, and administration of various flavors of UNIX, Solaris, HP Unix, IBM AIX, Red Hat & Suse Linux.
· Installation and administration of hardware from various vendors like Sun, HP, Dell etc.
· Performance tuning, configuring & upgrading Operating Systems.
· Evaluate System Performances & report metrics to management.
· Assist in system disaster recovery requirements.
· Identify & develop scripts needed using various scripting languages (Perl, shell etc) for automating manual tasks.
· Provide support and consultancy for Informatica business communities to ensure successful delivery of various projects.
· Assist the DBA's and networking engineers with various deployments and configuration as needed.
· Ensure SLAs defined for the business are met.
· Expected to work in a global team environment and ensure Informatica processes & procedures are implemented across the globe.
· On Call for Production Server Support.

· Position requires candidate to carry a cell phone 24/7 and requires maintenance/installation work to be performed outside of business hours.
· Position requires candidate to perform global weekend work for Production/Datacenter maintenance as needed.
