UI Lead Developer
Location: Washington ,DC (need consultants from VA,DC,MD,PA,NJ)
Duration:6 months Contract.
Job Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for design, development and maintenance of user interface prototypes. This will include working with product managers and UX group personnel to understand and specify requirements and create interface designs based on those requirements. In order to support and develop these prototypes the developer should have skills in HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, Ruby, as well as Flexbuilder and Actionscript with skills in Java JSP a plus.
The position will be required to work with product operations to deploy and maintain prototypes, both those developed in-house and developed under contract. The position will support user testing, including; modification of prototypes for user tests, instrumentation of prototypes for data capture, setup of testing prototypes, and processing data from user tests.
Essential Job Functions:
- Work with product and UX group to capture and define requirements for interface prototypes
- Design interface prototypes
- Develop interface prototypes in HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, Ruby, and/or Flexbuilder/ActionScript with Java JSP a plus
- Coordinate deployment and maintenance of prototypes
- Modify existing prototypes
- Support user testing of prototypes
- Communicate effectively with product, UX, and operations teams
Required Skills and Education:
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
- 8+ years experience in Java, J2EE, UI and Interaction design and development
- Fluent in HTML, Javascript and AJAX
- Writing and documentation skills
- Experience in user testing a plus
