Listed below is the job description - interview will be phone first, then in person.

 

Job Description:

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer ensures the overall health and availability of the Enterprise Infrastructure.

 

Responsibilities:

Manage Arrays , NAS, fabric zoning and storage software

Alert on and resolve performance issues and advise end users

Provide High availability of storage resources to all applications

Configure and manage all Open Storage Equipment

Performance analysis of the application and storage technology used will be required

Experience Required:

EMC storage products, technologies, and performance analysis (VMAX, VNX, Isilon, VPLEX)

EMC backup/recovery products (Avamar, DataDomain, RecoverPoint, Networker, ReplicationManager)

Experience related to Microsoft Windows, VMware ESX/ESXi, Linux (RHEL/SUSE), AIX.

Experience with various protocols (TCP/IP, FC, iSCSI, FCoE) is desired.

Cisco, EMC, Windows Server, or UNIX/Linux Server certifications preferred

 

Education

7 years experience in one or more of the following Infrastructure Technologies: Networks, Storage, Server Platforms, Data Center Facilities required

This role requires a proficiency in primary technology domain concepts and ability use these skills to quickly produce something of value. Must be able to successfully design and implement highly complex configurations

7 years of experience; 10 years preferred as a storage Engineer

4 years supporting an Application Development environment preferred

A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) required

 

Responsible for identifying and leading the deployment of solutions that meet business requirements for availability, reliability, scalability, performance, security and cost and that best leverages and integrates with the existing and planned IT infrastructure at Premier. Core Competencies: Backup & Recovery Concepts; Block and File Storage (SAN/NAS) Configuration Concepts; Logical Volume Manager (LVM) Concepts; Data Repliction & Copy Data Concepts; Relational Database Concepts; Operating Systems & TCP/IP Networking Concepts; Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot to provide solutions. Technologies: EMC VNX, VMax, Symmetrix, Celarra, ECC, RecoverPoint), Cisco MDS, FCOE, LUN Masking, Fiber Channel Zoning, Linux, UNIX (Solaris, AIX), Windows Server, Symantec/Veritas Volume Manager, Filesystem, VCS, Symantec/Veritas NetBackup, Tape Libraries, Relational Database integration (Oracle, DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, Netezza, Postgres), ksh, bash, Powershell. Minimum Requirements: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) required. Area of study in Computer Science or related discipline. 7 10 years of experience in one or more of the following Infrastructure Technologies: Networks, Storage, Server Platforms, Data Center Facilities. Minimum of 2 years supporting an Application Development environment. This role requires a proficiency in primary technology domain concepts and ability use these skills to quickly produce something of value. Must be able to successfully design and implement highly complex configurations.
