Client is looking for motivated, energetic, high-performing Senior Core Java/Web Services engineer having experience to help shape technology, product roadmap and foster innovation.
Consultant will be part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team, as part of App Experience Digital Prospect Acquisition organization.
Agile Responsibilities:
- Senior member of an Agile Engineering team that designs and develops software applications
- Play a key role in designing robust, scalable, reusable, and run-time efficient software components. Influence team to adopt best software practies
- Typically spend 70% of time in design and development including story grooming, planning, developing new software with associated unit tests, conducting design and code reviews, performance tuning, and production support
- Identify new opportunities for innovation to add business value
- Work with Product Owners and technical team members to prioritize stories for ongoing Sprints, manage technical requirements based on industry trends, new technologies, improvements, and known issues
- Take on stories from different business products and partner with the broader business and technology team to drive end to end solutions
- Use industry standard automation tools to develop regression test scripts and enable continuous integration
Required Skills:
- Experience in object oriented design and development of highly scalable, performant, and defect-free Java/J2EE Web applications and Web Services employing SOAP and REST
- Experience with Spring Framework - Solid understanding of data structures and associated computer algorithms - Experience with Servlets, Struts, JMS and JSP
- Experience as a senior technical member of an Agile team and proven ability to influence
- Experience with UNIX and Shell - Experience with Tomcat/JBoss, Eclipse, GIT, Maven, and Jenkins
- Experience developing responsive web applications for a range of devices and browsers is a strong plus
- Experience with Selenium is a plus - Experience with Websphere Application Server is a plus
- Experience with Node.js, AngularJS, and React is a plus - Require a
Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or related field
