Business Job Description:
The support team is seeking a resource with strong technical along with JAVA and .Net development skills to provide coding for bug fixes and small enhancements for new and existing custom-built applications. He will provide Quality Assurance testing and will be required to create and run test scripts for multiple applications and log defects into ClearQuest. The candidate is also expected to maintain system test scripts as new functionality is added to the application suite. The resource must have strong communication skills in order to work with the analysts and developers on the team. These applications provide a number of critical business functions including integration of external exchanges, position, price management, and straight thru processing. The team is in need of a programmer to support the eMarketplace suite in the trading organization.

Skills:
Degree educated in MIS or Computer Science (Required)
Knowledge of software development methodologies a requirement (Required).
Must poses strong development skills for supporting Java/J2EE based applications(Required).
Strong experience writing Sybase Transact SQL queries (v12.5.4 or higher preferred) (Required)
Strong experience writing Oracle PL SQL queries(V9.208 or higher preferred). (Required)
Experience with EJB (Enterprise Java Bean) (Required)
Experience with JSP (Java Server Pages) (Required)
Experience with JavaBeans (Required)
Experience with J2EE (Java 2 Platform) (Required)
Experience with App Devt Methods, Techniques & Stds for Java Swing based user interfaces (GUI) (Required).
Proficient in SUN/IBM, Java/J2EE and Microsoft .Net development environments (Required).
Strong experience withTibco RVD messaging (Required).
Strong experience with Javascript (Required).

Experience with .Net (Preferred).
Experience with C# (Preferred).
Experience with ServiceCenter or SM7(Preferred).
Experience with ClearQuest (Preferred).
Experience with version control tools(Preferred).

Role Accountability:
Maintenance and support for custom developed trading applications.
Analyze and devise solutions for production related issues.
Help develop technical design and architecture specifications based on application requirements.
Perform unit testing and assist with integration testing of applications.
Responsible for participating in Quality Assurance test cycles for new software releases. Will participate in system testing, integration testing and regression testing.
Responsible for developing and maintaining test scripts for new applications and new functionality.
Responsible for tracking and managing all defects in ClearQuest.
Assisting the users with user acceptance testing and application training as required.
Responsible for writing complex SQL queries to validate data during testing.
Support business analysts as requied.

Certifications:
Sun Certified Java Programmer for the Java 2 platform (Preferred)
Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) .NET (Developing and Implementing Windows-based Applications with Microsoft Visual C# .NET and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET). (Preferred)
