Location: Boston, MA
Duration: 6 months
Main Responsibilities: Those filling this position will be assisting in a large scale data migration project. They will be evaluating the current data load process, and re-engineering a solution to load data from Sybase ASE to SQL Server 2005 on a nightly basis. Analysing schema-level and row-level differences between Sybase ASE and Sql Server 2005 will be required, as will be writing SQL scripts and C# programs to import and export the data. This solution will be written by two contractors working together, under the direction of the product's current developers.
Required Skills:
C# expert, with experience in SQL Server ADO.NET SQL profiling & optimization techniques Experience with data migration projects Visual Studio experience SQL Server Management Studio experience
Bachelor's degree
Desired Skills:
Sybase ASE & Razor SQL ASP.NET Web Forms Financial analytics & related experience Writing command line programs and Windows services
