Location: Redmond, WA

 

Network and Server Evaluation and Test Engineer – 1 Positon.

 

Description:

 

Design and evaluation of the next generation Azure network and storage systems.

 

Desired Skills:

 

Networking skill set:  

·         Previous test experience (ISP, telcom, device vendor preferred)

·         Background knowledge of Internet Protocols (certification from at least one device vendor preferred)

·         Experience scripting (Tcl, python, perl, cmd script, Vb)

·         Experience in use of test tools (Spirent, Ixia, Chariot)

Server test skill set:

·       Must be able to run and generate reports for system level performance of computer hardware, specifically memory, network, and disk, SSD, NVRAM, I/O subsystems including throughtput, CPU overhead and component interactions, and isolating cache and memory performance behavior. 

·         Experience with IOMeter would be helpful but not required. 

Reporting skill set:

·         Should be able to work with Excel to generate reports using pivot tables on relative performance of different configurations, organize and archive performance data of many platforms and create presentable reports for comparison and analysis of alternatives. 

·         Experience with Managed code development for constructing queries against databases for generating reports also desired.
