Duration: 6+ months (contract to hire)

  Location: Sunnyvale, CA

 Manager notes:

·         Mobile experience is highly preferred

·         Will write Javascript code

·         6-month contract but will want to convert to full time. May happen even sooner based on performance, skills, and experience.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

• Implement pixel-perfect user interface layouts from visual designs using our JS framework

• Collaborate closely with interaction designers, graphic designers, engineers, QA, and management

• Work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and iterative environment

• Identify and communicate project risks and issues

• Manage deliverables across multiple projects

• Advocate best practices and group learning

• Provide regular and accurate progress updates on deliverables

• Communicate issues that need to be driven to closure appropriately to cross-functional teams

• Have a "whatever-it-takes" attitude towards meeting deadlines

• Do all of the above with a sense of humor, perspective, and balance

 Qualifications

• Highly organized and efficient with time

• Passionate about cutting-edge technologies and the mobile space

• Enjoy working in an environment of chaos and unpredictability

• Great written and communication skills

• Excellent layout debugging skills

• Experience with subversion and bug tracking tools

• Code like a developer, think like a designer (an eye for pixel perfection)

 Technical Skills

• HTML/CSS/JavaScript

• Various JavaScript frameworks is a PLUS

• Familiarity with Adobe products is a PLUS

 Education

• B.A. in CS, Computer Engineering, or related field

• Design background helpful but not required

• 2-3 years of industry experience, preferably in the mobile or consumer electronic space
