We are looking for a .NET Developer. This position is based in Boston, MA.

 

Summary:

 

High Income Technology, a division within the Investment Management Technology, develops research, trading and order management applications used by High Income analysts, traders and portfolio managers in Boston.  HIT is seeking an experienced software engineer to develop .NET applications using FIMT Envision Framework.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Documentation including sufficient information on the solution provided so that it can be handed off to a developer
  • Documentation on key decisions that were made during the prototype development
  • Establish HIT/FIMT framework environment for all web based development initiatives moving forward.
  • Provide transfer of knowledge and mentoring to full time HIT development team who will productionalize proof of concept application.
  • Provide full SDLC System Life-cycle supporting documentation on proof of concept.

 

Qualifications

 

·         5+ years experience developing service layer and/or desktop applications using .NET

·         A strong .NET background is expected

·         Extensive development experience in client-side .NET UI technologies including hands-on experience with WPF / ASP.NET / Silverlight

·         Experience with MVVM Pattern and Patterns based development

·         Experience with some or all of the following is highly desirable:

    • Web Services / Windows Communication Foundation / Java interoperability
    • Ability to scale up to new frameworks
    • Oracle database concepts and SQL
    • Third party controls experience (Syncfusion / DevExpress).
  • Understanding of the components of a web application and HTML
  • Building applications for the Financial Services sector
  • Full development life cycle experience from requirements definition through coding, and release
  • Proven experience developing, testing, documenting and releasing mission-critical software
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income instruments and trading systems is desirable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • BS degree in science or engineering
