Position      : SR. AIX UNIX Systems Engineer

Required skills:

• The candidate needs to be an experienced AIX UNIX system administrator to develop, install, maintain, and provide senior-level technical support for enterprise-level projects on the AIX UNIX platform. 
• Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Required experience includes AIX systems administration experience (typically 7-10 years) including installation, maintenance, upgrade, configuration, problem resolution, and performance tuning of the AIX operating system, in-depth knowledge of the IBM 570 and 595 hardware, lpars, virtualization including virtual i/o, and highly skilled on the hardware management console, proven knowledge of LVM, proven knowledge of HA/CMP and highly skilled with OS-level scripting.
• Requirements also include expertise in installing and maintaining one or more of the following: Tivoli Enterprise Console, Tivoli Storage Manager, Tivoli Workload Scheduler, and Linux on z/VM or similar enterprise software.
• Demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment also required.
• Desirable experience includes PERL programming skills, knowledge of Cache databases, Oracle databases, DB2 databases, networking and TCP/IP knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills also required.
