Pay rate $48/hr corp to corp. 

 LOCAL candidates will get first preference.  Agency responsible for getting candidate to job / inperson- interview.   

Role:

Solaris Admin / Engineer - 2 year contract located in downtown Dallas

2 managerial (not co-workers) references required.

 

Required Skills:

Looking for a Solaris Admin/Engineer with significant experience supporting enterprise level organizations

6+ years overall IT experience

4-6+ years in Solaris Support

Enterprise Sun Servers Installation and Configuration

Sun Fire M9000/5000/4000/3000/T5220/Blade Servers

Solaris 10/9/8 Installation, configuration and troubleshooting 

OS Installation, Restoration and Migration

CMT/Virtualization/Zoning Installation, Configuration, Troubleshooting

VCS Clustering - Installation Configuration & troubleshooting

Sun Clustering

IT knowledge

 

Desired Skills:

Sun Server Certified Professional

Sun Solaris Certified Professional

 

Soft Skills:

Good communication skills

Experience in interacting with International teams

Good team player, able to work independently

Willing to learn new technology

 

Responsibilities:

Senior Technical consultant would work in the Deploy and Operations customer oriented environments.  Will be engaged in planning, execution and post implementation scenarios for any support  Carries out activities in receiving, accepting and deploying new Products or new releases from the Infrastructure Management (or Application) function The Senior Technical consultant validates, verifies, prepares and deploys these for production in the runtime environment and ensures compliance with agreed delivery times, costs and performance targets.

 

Managing filesystem

Configuring disks, new HW, volume groups, LVs

Installing packages, patches

Package, Patch management (installation, remove, verify)

Log file verification

Incident management

User/ group management

Disk mirroring, Raid configuration

Performance issues

LVM, Jumpstart

Remote server support skills

NFS, samba, FTP, AutoFS, NIS, DHCP, TCP/IP, services, DEAMONs

Remote server support, installations

Unix scripting (Shell, Perl)

Automations
